Announcing Meg Grant as New Director of Marketing and Communications

The Episcopal Diocese of West Texas is pleased to announce Meg Grant as the new Director of Marketing and Communications. In this role, she will be responsible for all aspects of communication for the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas. The work will include planning, creating, managing and directing for all media communications as well as developing strategies for communication programs and support for work of the various ministries.

Meg shares, “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work for the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas. Being able to apply my marketing and communications skills to further the mission of the Episcopal church is most gratifying. I look forward to working with the Rt. Rev. Dr. David G. Read and the diocesan team as well as supporting and collaborating with the diverse ministries and congregations within the diocese.”

Prior to joining the diocese, Meg led marketing, communications and public affairs programs in the corporate technology, education, and publishing sectors. This work encompassed guiding teams in the development of programs to communicate brand value and facilitate positive engagement with customers and the community.

Baptized and confirmed in the Episcopal church, Meg was an active member of several South Texas Episcopal parishes during her youth. She is currently a member of St. George Episcopal Church in San Antonio where she serves on the Vestry, as well as the Stewardship and Hospitality Committees. Meg has participated as an Episcopal Diocese of West Texas Council Delegate and as a member of several Cursillo teams. Meg and her husband Jim are blessed with four children and four grandchildren.

“I am excited at the gifts and experiences Meg brings to our talented staff team as we tell the stories of how God is at work through our congregations and ministries,” Bishop Read shares.

Meg will begin at the Bishop Jones Center on November 13, 2023 and will work closely with Bishop Read, diocesan staff members, ministry leaders and be a resource for congregations across the diocese.
