Announcing New Development & World Mission Staff
The Episcopal Diocese of West Texas is pleased to announce the hiring of Anne Spears as the Director of Development. She will plan, organize, and direct diocesan fundraising efforts, which include major gifts, planned giving, special events, and donor relations in support of various ministries and working with the Rt. Rev. David Reed, Bishop of West Texas, who will prioritize areas of emphasis. Additionally, Anne will serve as a resource to congregations in their own development work and will collaborate with key diocesan staff members, ministry leaders, and members of the Diocesan Development Committee.
Anne has over ten years of fundraising experience, including many successful years at the Early Learning Center of St. Thomas' Episcopal Church in College Station, and she is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE). She shares, "I am excited and grateful to work with the diocesan staff, clergy, ministries, and churches to advance our missions and programs. The future of the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas is very bright!"

The Diocese is also pleased to announce the hiring of Catherine Markette as the World Mission Ministries Coordinator. Catherine will assist Dr. Marthe Curry, Director of World Mission, by organizing events in the Diocese, coordinating with Mission Teams, and assisting in trip planning.
Catherine is a longtime member of Christ Church, San Antonio with a background in Public Relations and Communications. She shares, "What an honor it is to step into the World Mission Ministries Coordinator position. It is a true blessing to work in a department whose mission is to follow Jesus' commandment to 'love your neighbor as yourself.'"
