Douglass Scholarship Applications Open for 2023-2024

Applications are now being accepted for educational scholarships for the 2023-2024 academic year from the Douglass Foundation Scholarship Program. These scholarships are offered to qualified seminarians as well as graduate-level or post graduate-level students.
The Douglass Foundation Scholarship Program seeks to encourage qualified college graduates to pursue advanced degrees in the fields of theology, business, and psychology. The first Douglass Scholarships were administered by the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas in 2000, and since then the program has awarded $799,300 in scholarships to fifty-one recipients. Applicants must be active members of an Episcopal church in the Diocese of West Texas, be accepted in a program of graduate study, show a potential for excellence, be of high moral character, and demonstrate financial need and merit.
The deadline for 2023-2024 applications is Tuesday, June 6, 2023. Only completed applications will be accepted. Scholarships are granted to individuals for one year, with opportunities to reapply in subsequent years. All applications will be reviewed by the Douglass Scholarship Committee, which includes past scholarship recipients, clergy, and lay leaders from the Diocese.
