Douglass Scholarship Applications Open for 2024-2025
Application Deadline: June 4, 2024
Applications are now being accepted for educational scholarships from the Douglass Foundation Scholarship Program for the 2024-2025 academic year. These scholarships are offered to qualified seminarians as well as graduate level or postgraduate level students.
The Douglass Foundation Scholarship Program seeks to encourage qualified college graduates to pursue advanced degrees in the fields of theology, business, and psychology. The first Douglass Scholarships were administered by the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas in 2000, and since then the program has awarded $861,300 in scholarships to 53 recipients. Applicants must be active members of an Episcopal church in the Diocese of West Texas, be accepted in a program of graduate study, show a potential for excellence, be of high moral character, and demonstrate financial need and merit.
The deadline for 2024-2025 applications is Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Only completed applications will be accepted. Scholarships are granted to individuals for one year, with opportunities to reapply in subsequent years. All applications will be reviewed by the Douglass Scholarship Committee, which includes past scholarship recipients, clergy, and lay leaders from the Diocese.
