New Diocesan Logo Available for Use
May 14, 2020
Following the official announcement of a new diocesan logo and brand at Council in February of this year, the logo package and brand guidelines are now available for use by church offices in the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas. Over the next month, you'll see many more visuals from the diocesan office that align with this new direction: emails, letterhead, print collateral, graphics, and the new diocesan website expected to launch before June.
Created in collaboration with the Rt. Rev. David Reed, diocesan staff, church leaders, and a design firm, the new logo complements the diocesan shield and will be at the forefront of diocesan communications and publications. Down to the letter, the new logo embraces the cherished history of the diocese and looks ahead with hope for the future.
We are confident that the new logo represents and reflects who we are - the people, churches, schools, ministries, and outreach of the Diocese - in a way that invites and draws in. This logo is intended to complement the historic diocesan shield that you are familiar with and will be at the forefront of our external communications and publications, with inclusion and use of the shield when appropriate for official documents. We needed a symbol that is more usable, more versatile, more inviting, and reflective of who we are in 2020 and who we will grow to be as we continue following Jesus.
We are still, and always will be, the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas, just more consistent, clear, and, we hope, more inviting and instantly recognizable.
