The seeds have been sown - The Owen Project in Navajoland

Many years ago, I was in Bible study with a retired priest who always had us take a moment before reading Scripture. He would say, "Let's let our hearts catch up with our minds." What wisdom there is in those seemingly simple words! On June 7, at the Annual Convention of the the Episcopal Church in Navajoland, the Owen Project was recognized in a Courtesy Resolution. My wife Sally and I, and Father Stephen Shortess from St. Andrew's, Seguin are still waiting for our hearts to catch up. Perhaps it is entirely appropriate when overcome by grace and gratitude to be still as the Psalmist says. I've been thinking about Simeon in the Temple greeting the Holy Family, realizing that his waiting is over. If only I was as good a man as Simeon.
On the 23 of July we will travel to Navajoland, bringing supplies and teaching in Farmington, New Mexico and Bluff, Utah. We will introduce Dine of all ages to the applications available on HP Chromebooks. We hope also to connect with local elementary schools to support Back to School activities.
A final note of thanks to everyone who has prayed for and supported us for the past four years. The seeds have been sown.
With gratitude,
Mark Keddal
