54th Annual Diocesan Silent Retreat Marvelously Made: Creativity, Spirituality, and the Sacred Self

ON-LINE RETREAT REGISTRATION:  SEPTEMBER 9 – OCTOBER 30, 2025

Retreat Conductor: The Rev. Rich Nelson, St. Peter's, Kerrville - Founding Director of the Community of St. Francis & Clare

From the very first pages of the Bible, humans are described as creatures created by our Creator to be creative. Creativity is therefore foundational to our relationship with God and with the rest of creation. What does it mean then that so many people don’t think of themselves as “creative”? Throughout this silent retreat, participants will reflect on the foundational elements of their own uniquely creative, spiritual, and sacred self. Fr. Rich, a “priest, poet, potter, and pilgrim,” will guide us through an exploration of the acknowledged and unacknowledged creative self as a way of unlocking deeper relationships with God, others, and ourselves.

The Rev. Rich Nelson is an Episcopal priest, writer, spiritual director, and speaker. He currently serves as the Founding Director of The Community of Saints Francis and Clare, an intentional discipleship community for people in their 20s and early 30s who live a life of prayer, study, and service, located at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Kerrville, Texas.
