Living in the In-Between Times
The Continuing Education Committee of the Diocese of West Texas is thrilled to announce an upcoming two-day program that promises to inspire and uplift all who attend. On November 16 - 17, we will have the honor of hosting the remarkable theologian, minister and musician, Dr. Jeremy Begbie, as our keynote speaker for this special two-night event, hosted at St. Mark's, San Antonio. It’s all part of our exciting program, “Living in the In-Between Times” celebrating the importance of lifelong learning.
Over the course of two days, Dr. Begbie will delve into the theme, Living in the In-between Times, with three sessions revolving around the concepts of Lamenting, Longing, and Hoping. His explorations of these topics will beblended with live piano performances, offering a profound and unique experiences for the audience. Begbie's expertise resonates throughout the world of theology and the arts, and his impressive biography speaks volumes about his contributions to those fields. As the Thomas A. Langford Distinguished Research Professor of Theology at Duke Divinity School, he has dedicated his life to examining the intersection of faith, creativity, and culture. Furthermore, he is the founder of Duke Initiatives in Theology and the Arts, as well as an author of numerous ground breaking publications.
