"Forgiving Oneself:" Spiritual Retreat in Recovery #120
Spiritual Retreat in Recovery # 120: "Forgiving Oneself" will take place at Mustand Island Conference Center, October 13 - 15, 2023.
The Rev. Keith Davis, Associate Rector of St. George Episcopal Church in San Antonio and the Rev. Mikel Brightman, Rector of St. Philip's Episcopal Church in San Antonio, will be the Spiritual Leader, guiding participants through the theme, "Forgiving Oneself." Onsite services, topical spiritual insight, and pastoral care are provided. In addition to various break-out session offerings, ample time is set aside for individual exploration. All friends in recovery are welcome, and no church affiliation is required.
Many may think recovery is about what we runaway from, but it so much more about what we run toward. These Spiritual Retreats in Recovery provide a safe place to deepen one’s spiritual journey – open to anyone in recovery from alcoholism, addiction, or other abuses and behaviors, as well as to families and friends affected by the disease of addiction. Members of all Twelve Step programs (AA, Al Anon, NA, CA,ACA, etc.) come together to share their experience, strength, and hope with each other in a community of love and support. We will explore and share what it was like, what happened, and what we are like now.
Hosted by the diocesan Recovery Commission.
