About

Since 1871, the National Episcopal Church Women, ECW, have championed women’s rights and the Christian foundation of God and family. We are a ministry of the Episcopal Church and celebrate that Episcopalians believe in a loving, liberating, and life-giving God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (From the National ECW website)

Mission Statement

A Community of Women, Reuniting and Supporting Each Other to Grow the Kingdom of God where they live and move and have their being. Amen.

Declaración

Una Comunidad de Mujeres, reuniéndose y apoyándose para hacer crecer el Reino de Dios donde vive, se mueve y tiene su ser. Amen.

  • Every woman in the diocese is a member of ECW.
  • ECW looks different in each congregation: Some have chapter meetings, others hold specific events, and in others women serve in various ministries within the congregation, gathering as a group at diocesan ECW events.
  • At the diocesan level, ECW serves women throughout the diocese by providing opportunities for spiritual growth and refreshment as well as supporting ministries around the diocese in which women are involved. This support may come in the form of financial donations, active participation, connection with other women, promotion, or shared expertise on specific topics.
